Dr. Jerry W. Price started his general dental practice in 1976. Dr. Jennifer W. Taylor has worked in the practice since July 2012 and acquired the practice from Dr. Price in January 2013. Dr. Taylor continues the mission of the office set forth by Dr. Price to provide high quality, evidence based dental care. She continues to focus on preventive dentistry and patient centered dental treatment.

Jennifer Taylor
Practice Owner & Dentist
Dr. Taylor attended the University of Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in May 2011. Dr. Taylor completed several elective courses while in dental school including implantology, periodontology, pediatric emergencies, and professional ethics.
Dental Hygienist
Karen Manning Ritter, RDH
Karen graduated with her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1987. She has been a hygienist at our office for almost 30 years. She enjoys going to the beach, watching movies, and attending baseball games with her husband and daughter. Go Red Sox! She enjoys taking care of her patients and spending time with her friends and family.
Cierra Winchester, RDH
Cierra is a registered dental hygienist in our office. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene in May 2018. She is from Tarboro and currently lives in Tarboro with her husband, Brian, and her son, Hudson. She has a Boykin Spaniel named Scout. She enjoys spending time with her family!
Dental Assistants
Emma Mulder, DAII
Emma is a native of Tarboro. She was home-schooled and graduated high school in 2021. She received her radiology certification from ECU in 2021 and earned her Dental Assistant II in 2023. She is also a student at East Carolina University pursuing a B.S. in Public Health with the goal of dental school in the future. Emma enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew, family and friends, going to the lake, and trying new food.
Jenni King, DAII
Jenni is from Scotland Neck, NC. She graduated high school from Hobgood Academy in 2020 and worked at McDowell’s Pharmacy while she was in college. She graduated from NCDentalU in April of 2023 and began her career as a Dental Assistant with us in June of 2023 and received her Coronal Polishing certificate in 2024 and received her DAII in 2025. She enjoys hanging out with her husband, Paul, their sweet dog, Dutton, friends and family, having cookouts and spending time at the lake and beach on the weekends!
Payton Clark, DAI
Payton is from Macclesfield, NC. She graduated from Edgecombe Early College HS in 2024 with an Associates degree in Science. She then attended NCDentalU and received her certificate as a DAI. While working here, she also continues to work part time at Ace Hardware, which she has been working at since 2021! In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her fiancé, Cameron, as well as many of their friends and family. She loves true crime, comedy shows, and word searches!
Receptionist
Elspeth Shaw, Receptionist
Elspeth has been with our office for 47 years as our receptionist. She is a native of Edgecombe County. She is married to Glenn Shaw. She enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Allison Whitehead, Insurance Coordinator
Allison is from Hobgood, NC. She graduated high school in 2019 from NECP and married her husband, Hunter, in May of 2022. She enjoys spending time with friends and family along with their sweet dog, Gunner!
